SUZANNE

In 1976 my sis and mum and I went to Philadelphia to be part of my aunt Mary’s wedding. It was an awesome experience for us. The sights and sounds. The fabulous food and the generosity of the people left me speechless at times and that is not easy.
I met Suzanne Smith … A cousin. She was only little then but a live wire.
We lost touch probably because of the age gap and the fact that the only way to keep in touch was by flimsy airmail letters.
Mary B got Suz and me back in contact via the wonder of the Internet. Bloody hell! She is really tall now and I am small. How funny is that?
I have found a soul mate.
We “talk” via the web. We have so much in common and so much to share with each other. We want to hug but are far away in logistics but in real terms I am beside her when we talk. She is in my heart and soul and always will be.
We intend to meet up and it is going to one hell of a party.
Suzanne Smith Slattery and her husband Jim have created two amazing and wonderful kids. I am so proud of them and proud to call them family.
