I have been through some pretty bad times but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger … who the feck said that? They deserve a slap and then a hug. It’s hard out there. There are good and bad peeps and the bad one’s are not always easy to recognise. They are disguised as politicians and wankers (sorry) I meant bankers. There are priests who have abused children and the church covered it up.
I was telling a fiend who is tuned into global issues that Mother Nature is kicking ass. We can’t mess with the planet and expect to get away with it. There is a natural balance in all things and the more damage we do to the planet that is our home the more retribution we will receive in pay back. It has always been this way if people would open their eyes and look.
We have brought a lot on ourselves and nature culls us. The Somme and all manmade wars are a tragedy. It is not right.
If governments put the same resources into the environment and those in need that they put into conflict the world would be a better place and we just might survive.
But there is no profit in humanitarian work. They all play lip service to it but behind the scenes there are machinations at work and it all has to do with making money.
Corruption is now endemic in societies worldwide.
I truly do not get how people can live by profiting from the exploitation of others. And I don’t understand why people are killing endangered species for profit. We are doomed in my view and we are the authors of our own misfortune. Shame on us!
Truth be told even I am guilty of excess. I am on a computer using electricity. I have a mobile phone. We may think we aren’t damaging the environment but even the fridge is going to need disposed of at some time. The richer countries throw away enough food to feed the starving children in Africa. That is the cradle of walking talking humankind.
No matter how much I try it is like a raindrop in a thunderstorm.
There are good people out there who are selfless and caring and they make a difference. But there aren’t enough.
All it takes is to start small. Help a neighbour and watch out for them. Smile and be kind to peeps you meet. Be aware of the glories of nature and be kind to the environment. Don’t throw rubbish out your car windows. Put it in the bin. Remember that this earth is your home and treat it with love and respect.
