THE DUDE & MAD MANDY’S SHINDIG

Oh what a night. Glitzy Glamour was bring the house down fabulous. Chelsea nearly stole the show by sitting on the floor gazing at Glitzy and clapping and grinning. She is obviously a fan for life. Dessie Moffatt sure does put on a great show with the hunky Hatchet doing the music. The costumes are gobsmacking. Dessie makes a lot of them himself. He’s a very talented guy. I so want that Elizabeth Taylor wig and the purple feathered cloak. I should have grabbed them and run off on the night. Wait a mo … I couldn’t because I had my red killer “the feet” heels on. I walk like a Japanese Geisha in them. It’s not fair for a bloke to have such great legs and to be able to strut her stuff in very high heels. As for the voice! Glitzy should be on Britain’s Got Talent.

Ernest Bustard and his team did us proud. I have never seen a hog roast before. It was massive and mouth-wateringly delicious. Together with all the trimmings it was a treat and then some. I thoroughly recommend Ernest and his Flash in the Pan team for a special do. It’s a yum yum knockout. They are so efficient and keen to make the feast a memorable one. I am so getting them again.

The event was polished off by THE BEST BAND. Adrian & Clive Culbertson’s, NEW MOON. Helen is such a great vocalist and the guys on drums, keyboard and guitar make an ensemble that is hard to beat. They have a range that suits everyone. New Moon rock and roll and everything in between. So remember that you heard it here first. They are very professional with many years’ experience (except for Helen who is a teenager). If you are having a wedding or big night you cannot go wrong with them. The Clive boy is going all country so watch out for him at the live music venues. I wish you well in your new endeavour to bring joy to us foot tapping peeps Clive. If only Adrian wasn’t already taken …

So a great night was had by all. That is all those who made it. Apparently some peeps missed the bus in the Port. The traffic was so backed up the driver had to go round the back of the pick-up point and no one thought to tell those out front. Others were much too late and missed it. Next time be there early you rascals. I really can’t say anything as I am late for everything. The husband almost has the vapours trying to get me out of the house. He then lets the dogs out as I’m getting in the car. Nightmare plus 3.

Baby Numpty and I missed the train to Belfast on St Patrick’s Day and were therefore too late to see the parade. The next one took for ever, or so it seemed. We accosted a lovely guy called Connor who was sitting on his own. We played Gin Rummy and he beat me hands down. Then I decided to play Solitaire and he had to prompt me ‘cause I kept missing the obvious. I think he was glad to be getting off at Central to change trains. That’s another peep in need of therapy.

I met the loveliest girl called Kathy in The Glynn’s when I took short and needed a pit stop. That was my first visit but I will be found there every Wednesday at lunchtime from now on unless I am away on a recce to the big smoke. We had a great conversation. The partner of an old school friend came in and me being me I had to speak to him. Al and I have so many friends in common. It was easy to wile away an hour. You have found yourself a keeper in that lad Debs.

So all is well in the world and spring is in the air for a day and a half. Be good peeps. Love Mx
